Nepal's Fixtures in T20 World Cup  2024

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced Nepal Squad for T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in West Indies and USA in June.

The Nepali team will play under the captaincy of young Rohit Paudel. Nepal had previously qualified for the World Cup in 2014 under the skipper Paras Khadka.

Sagar Dhakal and Kamal Singh Airee made a comeback in the T20 Squad. Both the players had made a comeback after performing brilliantly in the Nepal A vs Ireland A series.

Nepal continued to show faith in Kushal Bhurtel despite his struggling form but not with the balls. Bhurtel still looks good in form as a bowler but Bhurtel failed consistently as a batter in recent matches.

Kushal Malla may also trouble Nepal but he had shown earlier that just one big inning and he is back into the form but for now his form might be a tension for Nepali cricket fans.

Nepal relies heavily on its experienced premium pacers Karan KC and Sompal Kami but both bowlers had struggled with their bowling in the ACC Premier Cup in mid-April.

Sompal Kami become only player who will play for both the World Cup in Nepal Cricket History. He had played in 2014 under Paras Khadka and now under Rohit Paudel.

Key Players in Nepal Squad for T20 World Cup 2024

Skipper Rohit Paudel is in good form Aand Rohit also hit Century against West Indies A in the ongoing Nepal vs West indies A series on which Nepal’s batting unit relies heavily. Dipendra Singh Airee can be good with all three bat, ball, and fielding.

Nepal would expect a lot from young Gulshan Jha who is good with both bat and ball. Sundeep Jora awith the bat might contribute Nepal also with his finishing Abilities.

Nepal will rely heavily on their Death bowler Specialist Aninash Bohora who is currently in good form.
