Namibia got swept away by the bowling of Ruben Trumpelmann, early strike of Trumpelmann pushed Oman into the back foot from which they failed to recover and got bundled up for 109 runs in the 20th over of the innings.

Namibia and Oman locked horns on the 3rd match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 where Namibia won the coin flip and elected to bowl first at Kensington Oval Barbados stadium.
Oman opened the inning with Kashyap Prajapati on the strike and Nasheem Khusi on the other end while left-arm fast bowler Ruben Trumpelmann with the new ball.
Ruben Trumpelmann to Prajapati
Ruben Trumpelmann strikes with the first ball, the ball is straight and full on the middle targeting the stumps. Prajapati looked to flick it across but got too late to time the ball and the ball hit the front pad.
The umpire showed no hesitation in raising the finger and Trumpelmann had a dream start in the World Cup and Prajapati back to the pavilion.
Ruben Trumpelmann to Aqib Illyas
New man Aqib Ilyas entered the crease at No. 3 for Oman but did not trouble the scoreboard. Ilyas got hunted by Ruben Trumpelmann’s pinpoint yorker and directly hit the front pad.
Aqib was not satisfied with the umpire and took a review but a review was wasted and yet another batter returned to the pavilion with no run in the scoreboards.
Trumpelmann was on a Hat-trick ball with Zeeshan Maqsood on the strike, bowled the full ball Maqsood defended it towards the covers.
He ended the first over for only 3 runs and 2 wickets.
Ruben Trumpelmann to Naseem Khusi
Trumpelmann was brought back into attack by Skipper Gerhard Erasmus on the third over. He conceded 2 runs in the first 2 balls of the third over (his second).
Naseem Khusi was on strike on the third ball and Trumpelmann bowled the hard length outside off the stumps, Khushi looked to attack the ball and played a lofted shot over the ring on the off-side area but didn’t reach the boundary.
Skipper Gerhard Erasmus took the catch and Trumpelmann got his third wicket.
Trumpelmann was brought back for his 3rd over in the 5th over of the inning where he conceded 10 runs and remained wicketless in the 3rd over.
His final over was kept for the death over, and he bowls the 19th over of the innings from around the wicket. Oman was already 97/8 at the end of the 18 overs after 2 back to back wickets in the 17th over.

Ruben Trumpelmann bowls line to line to the stumps to the Kaleemullah, tries to go across but misses and the ball hits the pad and gets an LBW and Trumpelmann got his 4th wicket.
Under the brilliance of Ruben Trumpelmann in the powerplay overs, David Wiese in the death overs, and Gerhard Erasmus in the middle overs, Oman was bundled up for just 109 runs.
