A young 20-year-old guy Sameer Rizvi had started his IPL career with a six against Rashid Khan.
Sameer Rizvi was one of the expensive picks of the Chennai Super Kings as he was picked up paying a whooping amount of 8. 40 crores in a Mini Auction 2023.
Sameer was included in the playing 11 against RCB but did not get a chance to showcase his skill. In the second match against Gujarat Titans Sameer Rizvi came to bat at No 6 for CSK in the 19th over. This was his debut match for Rizvi. Rizvi was facing Rashid Khan one of the best Spinner in T20 and hit Rashid for a maximum in the 1st ball he faced. Sameer Rizvi hit Rashid Khan for 14 runs in 4 balls. With Rizvi’s small cameo at the end, the Kings posted a total of 206 runs on the board. At the end Chennai Won the match by 63 runs.
In T20s, Sameer played 13 matches batted in 10 innings scored 309 runs with an average of 44.14 and a strike rate of 133.33.
Recently a video went viral where Sameer’s brother Sabool Rizvi was seen commenting that he had promised to hit first ball for six.
