Mohit Sharma added an unwanted record to his name after he conceded 73 runs against the Delhi Capitals yet the remaining wicketless in his 4-over spell the most Expensive Bowling figures of IPL 

 Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals clashed in the 40th match of Ipl 2024 where Mohit Sharma bowled the most expensive spell in the match and in the history of IPL conceding 73 runs.

Mohit Sharma was introduced into the attack by Skipper Gill in the 12th over where he conceded 12 runs in the over with 2 boundaries and 4 singles in the over.

11.1: Rishabh Pant played toward the front foot and in front of the square leg for a boundary. (4 runs)

11.2: Pant played toward covers for a single. (1 run)

11.3: Patel pushes it away in front of mid-off for a single. (1 run)

Mohit Sharma came back into the attack in the death overs in the 16th over yet he remained wicketless and the expensive run-fest continued for Mohit as he conceded 16 runs in his second over.

Shubman showed trust and faith in Mohit giving him the 18th over but Mohit failed to deliver his Magical spell and conceded another 14 runs in that over.

Mohit Sharma had already conceded 42 runs in 3 overs but surprisingly Mohit Sharma came to bowl the final over of the inning when Delhi Capitals were 193/4. 

Mohit Sharma’s Spell became more disastrous when he conceded 31 runs in the ultimate over of the 1st inning. Rishabh Pant delivered an impactful knock against Gujarat Titans hitting alone 30 runs in that over and 1 wide.

Rishabh Pant smashed Mohit Sharma for 31 runs in the final over of the last game and Delhi ended up with 224 on the boards. Axar Patel played beautiful knock in the middle over that give Capital a push in the middle overs.

Gujarat Titans in the runchase lost their skipper early but Sai Sudharsan and Wriddhiman Saha managed well in the initial over. 

David Miller played backbone in the middle over smashing 55 runs in just 23 deliveries and Rashid Khan tried hard to take his team off to the mark but fell short of 4 runs.

Despite conceding two early boundaries in the first 2 balls of the over Mukesh Kumar defended 18 runs in the final over conceding only 14 runs and Delhi Capitals won the match by 4 runs after a final over thrill between Mukesh Kumar and Rashid Khan.

Delhi Capitals climbed to the 6th position in the points table with 8 points while Gujarat Titans at No 7.
