Axar Patel, an Indian Bowling-allrounder marked the headline in the match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans.

Axar hit 66 runs in 43 deliveries at a strike rate of 153.49 with 5 boundaries and 4 maximum that led Delhi Capitals to a strong total of 224 in the boards.

 On the Bowling side, Axar bowled 3 important overs conceding just 28 runs with an economy of 9.33, and picked up 1 wicket of Azmatullah Omarzai.

Axar also showcased why he is called a three-dimensional Player by grabbing catches of three top-order batters including Shubman Gill taken at Mid-off, Wriddhiman Saha taken at Covers, and Sai Sudarshan.

Axar’s brilliance with the bat and ball gave a dominating edge to Delhi Capitals which ended up bagging 2 points in Delhi Capital’s name and Delhi climbed up to the table at No 6.

Rishabh Pant also played valuable inning with Axar Patel for the Capitals hitting 88 runs in 43 deliveries at a strike rate of 204.65 with 5 boundaries and 8 maximum that boosted Capitals from a Poor start to the rooftop.

Opening Batters Prithvi Shaw and Jake Fraser McGurk added 11 and 23 runs for the side. 

Tristan Stubbs’s cameo of 26 runs in 7 balls at the end and Delhi Posted a mammoth total of 224 in the boards, 

The Gujarat Titans were ecstatic with the previous victory but lost their in-form skipper early in the second over. 

Sai Sudarshan and Wriddhiman Saha showcased their batting skill developing a partnership for the Titans and David Miller’s inning of 55 runs in 23 deliveries kept Titans in the run-chase. 

Rashid Khan failed to get off the line this time for the Titans as Mukesh Kumar defended 18 runs in the final over despite 2 boundaries in the first 2 balls.

Shubman-led Titans ended up managing only 220 runs on the boards and Delhi Capitals registered their fourth win of the season with Rishabh Pant as the Player of the Match. 

Delhi Capitals will lock horns against Mumbai Indians on Saturday, April 27 in the day match at 3: 30 PM Indian Local Time.

Gujarat Titans will battle against Royal Challenger Bengaluru on Sunday, April 28 in the first match.
