Allrounder Imad Wasim Reversed His Retiretment for Pakistan

Pakistan Allrounder Imad Wasim reveresed his decision of retirement making himself available for upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

 The 35 year old Wasim had made his retirement from all forms of International cricket on November 24 2023 after he was ignored for 2023 ODI World Cup. Imad had last played a T20i game for Pakistan during a home series against New Zealand in April 2023. Imad had also captained Pakistan ODI team back in march 2019. After Retirement Imad was seen in the commentary role in 0DI worldcup 2024 for pakistan.

Imad had reversed his decision of retiring from international cricket for T20 through his social media handles and said “ I am happy to announce that pursuant to meeting PCB officials, I have reconsidered my retirement and i am delighted to declare my availability for Pakistan cricket in T20i format leading up to ICC T20i World Cup 2024 I would like to thank the PCB for reposing trust in me and I will give my very best to bring laurels to my country. Pakistan comes first!”

The Dazzling performance in PSl 2024 had made Wasim to reversed his decision for T20 World Cup. He had brilliant allround performance in PSl. He had scored 126 runs in 12 matches for Islamabad Untied in PSL 2024. Wsim also showcased his skill with the ball and picked up five-wicket haul in the final that led the Islamabad United to the title for the third time. He had picked total of 12 wickets for Islamabad United. 

Pakistan seems to be boosted with Wasim’s decision of reversing the retirement as he proved himself a valubale All-rounder both with bat and ball. With Wasim in team core team, Pakistan present themself as strong contender for winning T20i worldcup in june.
