Nepal is in top gear after emerging as a champion in the SMS Friendship T20 Cup at Vapi, Gujarat. Nepal had only lost 1 match in their last 10 T20 Matches.
Nepal started a winning journey after defeating Malaysia by 5 wickets in the first match, Nepal restricted Malaysia for justy 143 runs and chased the target in the final over to register their first win of the tournament.
Nepal handed 32 runs loss to the Qatar after Dipendra Singh Airee smashed 6 sixes in the final over against and posted 210 runs on the board whereas Qatar only managed to get 178 runs in boards losing 9 wickets.
Nepal won a single-sided match against Hong Kong, China by 8 wickets to secure their spot. Nepal restricted Hong Kong to just 114 runs and chased down the target in just 12.2 overs with Abinash Bohora as the Player of the Match.
Nepal will play against Saudi Arabia on Wednesday 17 April at Oman Al Amerat Cricket Ground Turf 2 at 11: 45 AM( Nepali Time)
If Nepal maintains its 1st position in Group A then Nepal will play the semi-final against the position 2 team of Group B.
Semi-Final will be played on 19th of April and Final will be played on 21 April 2024. The Winner of ACC Mens Premier Cup will secure a spot in Asia Cup.
UAE and Home team Oman are looking strong in Group B with 2 wins each for them.
