Kolkata Knight Rider had registered the 3rd highest run in the first 10 overs of IPL history which is 135/1 while playing against Delhi Capitals. Phil salt,Sunil Narine, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi played a crucial role in the score. 

Kolkata Knight Rider and Delhi Capitals were clashing in the 16th match of IPL 2024. Kolkata Knight Rider won the toss and elected to bat first in the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium. Sunil Narine and Phil Salt came to open for KKR. Both the opening batters showcased an aggressive intent in the powerplay but the aggressive intent continued even after the end of the power play leading KKR to score 3rd highest run in the first 10 overs of the game. 

Phil Salt departed early contributing 18 runs in 12 deliveries with 4 boundaries at a strike rate of 150.00. The Debutant Angkrish Raghuvanshi got a chance to play at No. 3 in his debut match and did not upset the skipper with the decision. Angkrish Raghuvanshi played a quick knock of 54 runs in 27 deliveries with 5 fours and 3 sixes. 

Angkrish Raghuvanshi later departed scoring 54 runs in 27 deliveries adding himself to the record book of players hitting half-century in the debut match of IPL. Sunil Narine also departed at the score of 85 runs in 39 deliveries with 7 sixes and 7 fours with a personal highest runs in the IPL on his name.

Raghuvanshi contributed 33 runs in just 16 deliveries For KKR to make the record. Sunil Narine first scored a 21-ball half-century for the side and added 74 runs in just 32 deliveries with a strike rate of 231.25 in the first 10 overs. The combined 125 runs of the top order and 10 runs from extras contributed to KKR in setting the 3rd highest record for the highest run scored in IPL history.

Kolkata also sets second highest run scored ever in the history of IPL with 272 on the boards.
