Recently Chennai Super King’s social media platform posted a video recalling the IPL 2023 memories Where the finisher of the 2023 All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is seen reacting to the iconic moment when MS Dhoni hugged after Jadeja hit Winning runs in the last ball.
It was all about last year’s epic thriller final match where Defending champion Gujarat Titans and 4-time Champion Chennai Super Kings clashed for the title where GT gave a huge target of 214 runs in 20 overs.
Due to rain match was reduced to 15 over where CSK got the target of 171 runs by the DLS method. The all-round performance by each player of CSK led them to need 13 runs in the final over of Mohit Sharma.
Having just 3 runs in 1st four balls of the 20th over with Jadeja facing 5th ball Jadeja cleared the front foot out of the way for six. and just 4 needed off the last ball. Mohit Sharma bowled the last delivery full and on the pads and Jadeja flicked it down to fine leg for 4 runs.
This way Jadeja led Chennai Super King home for the fifth time and players went running out on the field for celebration. During that moment MS Dhoni hugged Jadeja being emotional during the hug.
