Ireland All Out for Just 157 Runs: Nep A vs Ire A

Ireland wolves got bowled out in just 157 runs after getting decent start of the inning but suffered collapse of lower and middle lower batting unit for just 12 runs losing 6 wickets

Ireland Wolves won the toss and elected to bat first in the 1st OD match of the ODI series at TU international ground Kirtipur. Kamal Singh Airee started with the new ball for Nepal whereas Stephen Doheny and McCollum came out to open for Ireland A side.

 Both openers were taking time settling in the pitches passing the risky overs but Rijan Dhakal finally broke the opening partnership in the sixth over. McCollum departed scoring 12(15) and Ireland lost their first wicket at 19/1.

PJ Moor came out to bat at No 3 for Ireland Wolves. Sahab Alam strikes in his first over dismissing the set openers Stephen Doheny for just 12 (30). Cade Carmichael came down to bat at No. 4 for the Wolves. Mausam Dhakal trapped PJ Moor in his 3rd over and Moor has gone for 21 runs in 34 balls. 

Skipper Neil Rock came to the crease to build and stabilize the inning for Ireland A side. Unfortunately, Ireland lost their Captain Neil Rock with an LBW by Kamal Singh Airee. Neil Rock departed scoring 39 runs in 32 deliveries and Ireland Lost their 4th wicket for 126/4 and Kamal Singh Airee got his first wicket. 

Gareth Delany was the new man in the crease looking to build a partnership with set man Cade Carmichael but he couldn’t add much to the scoreboard and departed scoring just 6 runs in 21 balls and Mausam Dhakal got his 2nd Wicket of the day.

Fionn Hand came to the crease at No. 8 for Ireland but miscommunication between Hand and Carmichael caused Fionn Hand to lose his wicket in the very first ball due to an unfortunate runout coordination between Dev Khanal and Arjun Saud. Ireland Wolves lost 2 quick wickets in 2 deliveries and Ireland Wolves were reduced to 145/6.

Tom Mayes was the new man at No 9 for Ireland Wolves. Cade Carmichael completed his half-century in 74 deliveries bringing Ireland out of tough conditions inches by inches but tried to play big in just the next delivery and got caught by Mausam Dhakal and Sahab Alam got his 2nd wicket. Carmichael departed scoring 51 in 76 deliveries with 4 boundary. 

Liam McCarthy entered the crease with intent to leading Ireland Wolves some how to a respectable total but got back to the pavilion after trying to go big against Kamal Singh Airee and Sahab Alam took a brilliant catch to send McCarthy for just 2 runs in 7 deliveries. Ireland Wolves were reduced to 157/8 after 38 overs.

Matthew Humphrey came out to bat at No. 10 for the side but got a golden duck in his name by Kamal Singh Airee. Kamal Singh Airee got back-to-back 2 wickets and completed his Hatrick dismissing with a clean bold to last man Ben White. Ireland Wolves got bowled out for just 157 runs.

On the Bowling side , Kamal Singh Airee bowled exceptional and took 4 wickets in his name in just 6.3 over giving away just 21 runs with an economy of 3.23. Rijan Dhakal also remain economical while bowling 8 overs giving away just 32 runs and picked up wicket. Shahab Alam helps Nepal A in getting rid of dangerous batter in the first power play taking 2 wickets while giving away just 21 runs with an economy rate of 2.33. Mausam Dhakal aslo took 2 wickets for the side completing his quota of 10 over givinhg away 50 runs with an economy rate of 5.00.

Nepal would need just 158 runs to beat the Ireland Wolves in 50 over to register first victory in the first match of OD series.
