Ireland A side got all out inside 39 over at 174 runs by Nepal A. Rijan Dhakal and Shahab Alam showcased brilliance with the ball picking up 3 wicket each and Mausam Dhakal with 2 wickets.

Nepal A and Ireland A sides were clashing in match No. 2 of the OD series. Nepal A won the coin flip and invited the visitors to bat first at TU International ground. Nepal A was defeated by Ireland A in the first match by 23 runs despite brilliant hattrick by Kamal Singh Airee.

Stephen Doheny and James McCollum came out to open for Ireland A, while Kamal Singh Airee started with the ball for Nepal A . Nepal strikes early with a brilliant direct-hit run out by Shahab Alam in the first over. James McCollum departed for a duck playing 4 deliveries.

PJ Moor came out to bat at no 3 for Ireland A but yet another wicket fell for Ireland as Doheny got LBW by Sahab Alam in the first over of his spell. Dohey departed at 2(10)and Ireland were 11/2 after 4.2 overs. Morgan Topping new man in the crease with the intent to build the foundation for Ireland’s A-side. Rijan Dhakal strikes in the 5th over of the inning with a soft dismissal of PJ Moor’s misjudged hit taken by Mausam Dhakal. Moor departed scoring 17(17) with 3 fours in his name.

Skipper Neil Rock came out after the early collapse of Ireland’s batters. Skipper Bhandari brought Shahab Alam into the attack for his second over and Alam didn’t upset the skipper, and dismissed Morgan Topping for just 2(9). Binod Bhandari took a catch behind the stumps and Shahab Alam got his second wicket. Ireland Wolves were reduced to 21/4. 

Gareth Delany was the new man at No 7 for Ireland. Gareth Delany and Neil Rock were two new men in the crease. Shahab Alam has yet again proven magical for Nepal as he dismissed Gareth Delany for a duck. Alam got his 3rd wicket in his 3rd over and Ireland’s side was in huge trouble as half of the Ireland side were already back into the hut. After 10 over Ireland wolves were 39/5.

Fionn Hand came out for Ireland at No. 8 but Hand also couldn’t add much to the board and departed scoring just 5 runs in 19 deliveries and Ireland were 50/6. Gavin Hoey and Neil Rock were struggling in the middle. Neil Rock tried to go for a big hit against Kamal Singh Airee but the ball got edged and caught by Bashir Ahmad and departed scoring 45(38) with 3 sixes and 3 four. Ireland Wolves were 94/7 after 20.3 over.

Liam McCarthy the new man in the crease stabilized the inning to some extent developing a partnership in the gamewith Gavin Hoey. Hoey also completed his half-century in just 55 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes. Rijan Dhakal dismissed the half-centurion immediately with Sub fielder Rupesh taking the brilliant catch at the boundary line. The set man departs for 50(58) and Ireland was 148/8 after 32 over.

Tom Mayes was at No 10 for Ireland’s side but got back to Pavilion early for just 5(9) after getting bowled out by Rijan Dhakal. Mausam Dhakal did the remaining stuff for Nepal A by dismissing Liam McCarthy for 35(54) and Ireland Wolves got All-out for just 174 runs inside 39 overs. Nepal A would need 175 to equalize with 1–1 in the series.

On the Bowling side, Rijan Dhakal Picked up 3 wickets in 8 overs giving away just 30 runs with an economy rate of 3.75. Shahab Alam also picked 3 wickets for the side in his 10-over spell giving away just 35 runs with an economy rate of 3.50. Mausam Dhakal picked 2 overs with an expensive spell of 60 runs in 7.4 overs at an economy rate of 7.83. Kamal Singh Airee took 1 wicket giving away just 33 runs in 9 overs. Dev Khanal and Bashir Ahmad remain wicketless while bowling 1 and 3 overs respectively.
