Anshul Kamboj Debuted for Mumbai Indians

 Anshul Kamboj finally made his debut in the IPL 2024 for Mumbai Indians in the strong match against Sunriser Hyderabad as Mumbai Indians are no longer in the race for the playoffs and now they are testing their bench strength. 

Mitchell Starch had already ended the hope of Qualifcation in the match against KKR in the last match they plated at the Wankhede Stadium.

Gerald Coetzee was rested and Anshul Kamboj was handed his debut cap for Mumbai Indians in the 55th match of Ipl 2024 so far.

Anshul Kamboj is a Right-arm medium Pacer born on December 06, 2000, in Karnal, Haryana also plays for Haryana on First Class Cricket.

He had played only 8 T20 matches so far before debuting for Mumbai Indians where he had picked 12 wickets in 8 matches with 3/12 as his best bowling figure.

Anshul Kamboj Auction

Mumbai Indians bought Anshul Kamboj for his base price of INR 20 lakhs in the 2024 IPL mini-auction.

Anshul Kamboj was handed to bowl the second over of the powerplay overs by Skipper Hardik Pandya he was smashed for a maximum and a boundary in that over and conceded 13 runs in his debut overs.

Anshul Kamboj was again brought to bowl the fifth over of the inning where he was smashed brutally for 19 runs by the Opening batter Travis Head of Sunriser Hyderabad. 

However, Anshul made a comeback in his 3rd over and dismissed Mayank Yadav with a brilliant delivery for just 5 runs in 6 balls to get his debut wickets in IPL 2024. Anshul remains economical in that over conceded just 4 runs.

Anshul bowled all 4 overs of his spell and ended his spell with 42 runs in 4 overs with an economy of 10.50 besides going for 32 runs in the first 2 overs.

Hardik Pandya looks in good form in the bowling for Mumbai Indians after a while. He bagged 3 wickets and conceded just 31 runs with an economy of 7.75. 

Piyush Chawla also bowled his spell, bagged 3 crucial wickets, and conceded 33 runs with an economy of 8.25. 

Hyderabad started solidly in the power play overs but Mumbai Indians managed to restrict strong Sunriser Hyderabad to just 173 runs as wickets kept falling at regular intervals and Hyderabad couldn’t maximize the middle overs.

Mumbai Indians had a poor start with the Bat as both of their openers departed for cheap runs. Ishan Kishan departed for just 9 runs in 7 balls and Rohit Sharma also departed for a poor 4 runs in balls. 

Suryakumar Yadav single-handedly took responsibility in the run-scoring section, Yadav smashed his first Century of the Ipl 2024. He remains unbeaten at 102 runs in 51 balls with 12 boundaries and 6 maximum to his name with a strike rate of 200. 

Tilak Verma beautifully assisted Surya in the run chase plays an anchor role im his inning of unbeaten 37 runs in 32 balls that led Mumbai Indians to their 4th win of the season. 

Mumbai Indians finally got some relief after the long stress of losing streaks as they won the match by 7 wickets with 14 balls remaining with Surya Kumar Yadav as Player of the Match.
