Nepal vs Gujarat: Gujarat got All out in 98 runs by Nepal

Nepal won the toss and opted to field first in the 1st match of the SMS Friendship Cup. Rudra Patel and Aarya Desai came to open for Gujarat. Karan Kc provided an early breakthrough for Nepal, Aarya Desai got bowled by Karan Kc. Nepal got the first wicket in 2.5 over.

Umang Tandel was the new man in for Gujarat at No 3 but he also got out early for just 5 runs. Sundeep Jora took a brilliant catch and Gulshan Jha got his first wicket in the first over—Dipendra Singh Airee’s brilliant throw to dismiss Rudra in the 7th over bowled by Gulshan Jha.  Rudra departed scoring 23(22) balls. After Rudra’s dismissal, Gujarat was 33/3.

Abhishek Desai came to bat at No 5 for Gujarat. Gulshan Jha strikes again and gets the set man Smit Patel caught in deep 3rd man by Sompal Kami at the end of 7 over and Gujarat was 44/4. 

A newman Hemang Patel came to bat after Patel’s dismissal. Karan KC strikes in the 13th over of the game KC dismissed Abhishek Desai with an LBW. Desai tried to play a lofted shot but missed the ball and Karan got his second wicket. Gujarat was 73/5. 

Rishi Patel was the new man as the No. 7 batter for Gujarat, but Patel couldn’t add much to the board as he got caught by Kushal Malla. Gulshan Jha got his third wicket. Gulshan Jha got back-to-back wickets for Nepal, striking twice in the same over and dismissing set man Hemang Patel. Gulshan Jha ended his 4-over spell taking 4 wickets, giving away just 22 runs with an economy rate of 5.50 in his name, and Gujarat was 77/7 at the end of the 14th over.

Tejash Patel and Saral Prajapati were two new men in the crease looking to lead Gujarat’s score to a respectable total Unfortunately Sompal Kami clean-bowled Tejash Patel and Kami got his First wicket. Gujarat was 83/8 after 15.3 over. Sompal Kami ended his economical spell gave away just 14 runs and took 1 wicket in his name.

Zala Yuvraj was the new man in for Gujarat. A brilliant runout in the 18th over and Gujarat was 98/9. The lastman Jayveer Singh was into the crease looking to go big in the 19th over but was caught by Kushal Malla and Karan KC got his 3rd wicket. 

Gujarat got bowled out in just 98 Runs as Nepal’s bowler left Gujarat in awe with their brilliant bowling spell. Nepal needs 99 runs to win the 1st match between Nepal and Gujarat.
