All-Rounder Alice Tector debuts against Sri Lanka in the ODI

Allrounder cricketer Alice Tector debuted for Ireland against the mighty Sri Lanka Women who just won the Asia Cup 2024.

The Ireland team is led by the opener batter Gaby Lewis after the regular captain of Ireland Laura Delany missed the series following an ankle injury. The injury ruled out Delany from the ODI Series against Sri Lanka.

The absence of Laura Delany gave Alice tector debut cap against Sri Lanka as a replacement for her skipper Laura Delany.

Alice tector picked up 1 wicket dismissing Kavisha Dilhari in the 37th over as Jane Maguire took an easy catch.

She ended up conceding 49 runs in 8 overs with an economy of 6.125 with 1 wicket in her name as an allrounder.

Orla Prendergast remains the most economical and valuable bowler for Ireland in bowling with 3 wickets in her name while conceding 25 runs with an economy of just 3.13.

Ireland Women restricted Sri Lanka women to 260 runs while picking up 8 wickets despite a Century knock by Vishmi Gunaratne.
