Sandeep Lamichhane got Picked for Global T20 Canada

Nepali Leg Spinner Sandeep Lamichhane got picked for the Global T20 Canada. He is roped by Vancouver Knights for the 4th edition of the Global T20 Canada league. 

The 4th edition of Global T20 Canada is all set to kick off on July 25th, 2024 and the auction is at a different level as players from different countries and levels will share the stage.

Sandeep hadn’t participated in any league in the past years as he was suspended by the CAN due to a rape allegation, However, Sandeep got a clean sheet from the court and now is available to play for his nations and the Internationa league games. 

Sandeep Lamichhane recently had a problem with the Visa approval for the USA for participation in the T20 World Cup 2024. However, he participated in the last 2 games of Nepal in the West Indies and performed brilliantly well. 

He became the second-fastest bowler in international cricket to complete 100 wickets in just 54 matches just behind Rashid Khan who had the record of 100 wickets in 52 matches.

Vancouver Knight is the champion of the inaugural season in 2018. The 4th edition of the Global T20 Canada League will feature 6 teams. Here are the 6 teams.

Champions of Global T20 Canada

The Global T20 Canada had its inaugural season in 2018, Vancouver Knights defeated Cricket West Indies B team in the finals by 7 wickets. 

The second edition of the Global T20 Canada league was in 2019, Winnipeg Hawks defeated the defending champion Vancouver Knights by 5 runs in the thriller super over.

The latest and 3rd edition was in 2023 after 4 long years of the second edition, Montreal Tigers defeated Surrey Jaguars in the finals by 6 wickets. 

The 4th edition of the Global T20 Canada is set to kick off on July 25th, 2024 and auctions are. hitting the headlines.
